May. 4th, 2026 07:46 pmOk, so not much else to do but the waiting to see what my grades are. Here's to seeing how I did on the first semester back in college since... however long I haven't been in college. I want to be confident that they will stay the A's and B's they were all semester. But STILL. The waiting till they put remaining grades in is still as stressful as ever.
It will be back to classes again for summer semester. So my break will only be a few days. I sob inside.
Also, I am confident things will go as usual with the doctor this week. But I always have a sense of dread or just "ugh" at seeing doctors, even if it's only once or twice a year. Kind of hard to avoid doctors when you're a diabetic with hypothyroidism. Alas. Also means eye check up is soon. I do those yearly too. Ugh.
Almost time to get my cat his yearly blood work too, soon. I want my baby to keep being healthy.
I guess because I associate summer with all of these obligations, I hate the season. But I also mostly hate summer because of the heat. And the bugs. Especially the bugs. I just need it to be Autumn. NOW. give me pumpkin spice and Apple cinnamon season. Not whatever is this Refresher season we have going on, cause we got several chains pushing out "refresher" drinks everywhere and competing with Starbucks. (I admit, Dunkin's refreshers are good... oops.)

Date: 2026-05-05 11:48 am (UTC)Boy, ain't that a MOOD. I love the transitional months, but where I live now Spring and Autumn last for like... A couple weeks, with summer overtaking the end and beginning of each, respectively, by quite a lot. So much of the year is hot, humid weather! So I'm looking forward to those couple weeks of Autumn with great intensity.
I also noticed a bunch of chains putting out their own "refresher" drinks... Kind of amusing to me that it took this long, to be honest!

Date: 2026-05-05 11:49 pm (UTC)Sounds like typical living in the south climate. It's kinda similar here. You have any traditions when it becomes Autumn? I like to bake all kinds of pumpkin spice things when that first day comes around. And play all the spooky movies/specials all the way till Halloween.

Date: 2026-05-06 12:03 pm (UTC)Ooh, those are good ones! Life's been so full of chances the last few years that I'm only really starting to re-establish traditions in my life. Spooky movies and specials are definitely a must in my home come October, though I'm not a fan of like... actual horror, haha, so it's more fun spooky like Beetlejuice, Hocus Pocus, and Nightmare Before Christmas, or things that lean more creepy than horror, like Shane Acker's 9 - one of my favorites! And then there's the song "Autumn Dance," which I love to listen as much as possible in September, as Summer winds down and Autumn starts up!
